How do I create a team?

Sign in at sportsteamshq.com/login with Google or Apple, then click "Create Team" in the sidebar. Enter your team name and sport, and your team is ready in seconds.

How do I invite players and parents?

From the Roster page, click "+ Add Member" to invite by email, or share your team's join code from the Dashboard. Each role (player, parent, assistant coach) has its own unique code.

How do I add a guest or sub player?

On the Roster page, scroll to "Guests & Subs" and click "+ Add Guest / Sub". Guest players appear on the roster and in game stats without needing an app account.

How does the AI Pre-Game Brief work?

On any upcoming game event in the app, tap "Pre-Game Brief". The AI generates a tailored warmup and preparation summary based on your team and opponent. Requires an internet connection.

How does the AI Post-Game Brief work?

After logging a game result, tap "Post-Game Brief" on the event detail screen. The AI generates a performance summary and coaching notes. You can add your own notes before generating.

How do I import a schedule from Excel or CSV?

On the Schedule page, click "Import CSV / Excel". Download our template from the upload page for the correct column format. Accepted date formats include MM/DD/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, and Excel serial numbers.

How do I export season stats as a PDF?

In the mobile app, go to Settings and tap "Export Report". On the web, go to Dashboard → Export Report. Toggle which sections to include and save or print the PDF.

How do I add volunteer jobs to an event?

On the Schedule page, click any event to expand it. You'll see a "Volunteers Needed" section where you can add jobs like "Bring snacks" or "Run the clock". Players and parents can claim open jobs.

How do I set up online registration?

Online registration is available on Pro and Club plans. Go to Dashboard → Registration, configure your age groups, fee, and waiver, then share the registration link with parents. Registration payments are processed via Stripe.

How do I delete a team?

In the mobile app, go to Settings → My Teams → tap the team → Delete. On the web, go to Create Team → Manage Teams and click Delete. This removes the team and all its data permanently.

How do I join a team?

Download the SportsTeamsHQ app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app, tap "Join a Team", and enter the join code your coach shared with you. You can also tap a join link from your invite email.

How do I RSVP to events?

Open the app and go to the Calendar tab. Tap any event and select Going, Maybe, or Can't Go. Your coach can see all RSVPs in real time.

How do I view my stats?

Tap your name on the Roster tab to open your player profile. Your season stats totals and game-by-game breakdown are shown there.

How do I use team chat?

Tap the Chat tab in the app. You can send messages, photos, and reactions to the team. Tap any teammate's name on the Roster to start a direct message.

How do I update my profile?

Tap the profile icon in the top right of any screen. You can update your name, jersey number, position, and profile photo.

I'm on multiple teams — how do I switch?

Tap the team name at the top of the home screen to open the team switcher. Select the team you want to view.

How do I register my child for a team?

Your coach or club will share a registration link. Open it in any browser — no account needed. Fill in your child's info, sign the waiver, and pay the registration fee. You'll receive a confirmation email with next steps.

How do I join as a parent in the app?

Ask your coach for the parent join code, or tap the parent invite link from your email. Download the SportsTeamsHQ app, create an account, and enter the code. Your account will be linked to your child's player profile.

What can parents see and do in the app?

Parents can view the team schedule, RSVP to events on behalf of their child, receive push notifications for schedule changes and announcements, and view game results. Parents cannot access team chat by default.

How do I receive notifications?

Make sure notifications are enabled for SportsTeamsHQ in your phone's Settings app. You'll automatically receive alerts for new events, schedule changes, game results, and coach announcements.

My child used Sign In with Apple with a hidden email — will they still get notifications?

Yes. SportsTeamsHQ is registered with Apple's Private Email Relay service, so emails sent to your child's relay address will be forwarded to their real inbox.

How do I update my child's information?

Contact your coach to update player details like jersey number, position, or emergency contact information. Coaches can edit these from the Roster page.

What sports does SportsTeamsHQ support?

Soccer, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, lacrosse, hockey, and more. The app adapts stats and positions to the specific sport you select when creating a team.

Is SportsTeamsHQ available on iOS and Android?

Yes. The mobile app is available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). The web coach portal works in any modern browser at sportsteamshq.com.

How much does it cost?

The Basic plan is free forever for a single team. Paid plans start at $12.99/month. See our pricing page for full details.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is stored in Google Firebase with industry-standard encryption. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant). We never sell your data.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Monthly plans end at the current billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable but will not renew.

I found a bug — how do I report it?
