SportsTeamsHQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account information: Your name, email address, phone number, and role (coach, player, or parent) when you create an account.

Team data: Messages sent in team chat, RSVP responses, and events you create or interact with.

Profile photos: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored securely via Cloudinary.

Team photos: Photos shared in your team gallery are stored securely via Cloudinary and are only visible to members of your team.

Device token: A push notification token to send you team alerts. This is never shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to operate the SportsTeamsHQ service — to authenticate you, display your team's roster and schedule, and send you notifications your team generates. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties.

2b. AI Features

SportsTeamsHQ uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate Game Day Briefs for coaches. When a coach generates a brief, limited event data (event title, date, time, location, RSVP counts, and recent team messages) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the brief. This data is used solely to generate the brief and is not stored or used for training by Anthropic. AI-generated content is reviewed by the coach before being sent to the team. 3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which complies with industry-standard security practices. Profile and team photos are stored on Cloudinary's secure CDN and are only accessible to team members.

4. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications for new team messages, upcoming events, and RSVP reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications or in your device's system settings.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@sportsteamshq.com. Team messages are retained for the lifetime of the team.

6. Children's Privacy

SportsTeamsHQ is not directed to children under 13. Players under 13 should have a parent or guardian create their account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.

7. Your Rights
